What TopexHR is

An HRMS for the work that has to happen every month: keeping employee records straight, tracking who has taken time off, holding structured salary data, and running payroll from it. One system, one login for your team, and payslips they can fetch themselves.

Who it is for

Indian software companies, agencies and startups with roughly twenty to a hundred salaried people. Not enterprises, not shift-based workforces, and not companies below about twenty people — at that size a spreadsheet genuinely is fine, and we would rather say so than sell you something.

Being specific about this is what lets the product stay small. Every feature we have not built is a feature that buyer did not ask for.

Why it is built this way

Most HR software is sold on breadth — twenty modules on a grid, of which four are good and the rest exist to win a comparison table. Buying it means paying for all twenty and discovering which four work after you have migrated.

We took the other position: a narrow product that is finished beats a wide product that is half-built. So there is no attendance module, no recruitment module and no tax engine — and what is here is meant to hold up on the last day of the month, when it matters.

How we think about your data

Payroll is the most consequential data a small company keeps, so the product is built to be conservative with it: processed payroll is frozen at the database, corrections are recorded rather than silent, payslips are versioned rather than overwritten, and payments cannot be double-recorded.

And you can leave. Ask, and we export everything as files. That is deliberately not a retention lever, because trusting a young company with payroll is only reasonable if getting out is straightforward.
